Lanka Credit and Business Finance opened their 19th Branch at Bauddhaloka Mawatha Gampaha which is the sixth largest urban area in the Western province.

CEO/Executive Director K.G. Leelananda addressing the distinguish gathering at the opening ceremony observed that over 50% the total land in the Gampaha district remains as agricultural land and traditionally dependent on major cash crops paddy and coconuts. In order to increase productivity and farming income, the Department of Agriculture, Western Provincial Council encourages agricultural diversification among the farmers under various projects.

Leelananda said that through the lending products of the company they could finance viable projects of farmers involved in agricultural diversification whilst meeting the financial needs of those involved in other economic activities at Gampaha through lease finance and term loans to meet such requests.

With regard to savings products he stated that they would be marketing ‘Podiththa’ which is very popular among parents to save for their kids, ‘Sihina Ayojana’ for youth to plan their future, ‘Regina’ for Ladies to save for their future family prosperity and ‘Uththama’ for the elders.
